How to reach Darjeeling?

By Bus:

You can board the bus from Siliguri to Ghum which would cost you 90 rs and from Ghum you can board local auto to Darjeeling which takes 20 rs per person. You can also board buses from nearby towns like Kurseong and Kalimpong to reach your destination.

By Train:

The nearest railway station from Darjeeling is at New Jalpaiguri and what is the exciting part is you would be boarding the famous toy train from here to reach Darjeeling and can enjoy the beautiful and serene views, the train also halts at Batasia loop which is one of the most famous and visited places of Darjeeling.

By Air:

Bagdogra is the nearest airport from Darjeeling, direct flights can be boarded from your nearest airport till Bagdogra. From there you can take cabs or shared transportation to reach Darjeeling.

The train also provides a round trip from Darjeeling to Ghum and back to Darjeeling while covering up places like Museum, Batasia Loop and more.

6. Darjeeling Ropeway

The ropeway completes a total of 3 km in 45 mins from Singamari to Singla Bazaar at an altitude of 7000 feet. The mesmerizing 45 minutes journey gives travelers a different and extraordinary experience as they can enjoy the views of various waterfalls, mountains, tea gardens and much more from the ropeway and also don’t forget to click beautiful pictures while your journey.

7. Himalayan Zoological Park

Unlike other zoos, Himalayan Zoo tried to provide natural habitat to its animals as much as possible and so it is also home to many endangered species of animals and birds. You may find many animals which you cannot spot in any other zoo. It is located Jawahar road and has varieties of snow leopard, red pandas, Tibetan Wolves, and Himalayan Bears.

8. Himalayan Mountaineering institute

If you Need training for mountaineering then go ahead with one of the best mountaineering institutes. The Himalayan Mountaineering institute provides various courses for training, leats starting with a 28-day course. The purpose is to enhance and motivate the art of mountaineering in people and make them experts in mountaineering sport.
